Causes of Change in Voice

Overuse or Abuse of voice -

Overuse

1. Using the voice for a long period of time or in a loud volume

2. When long sentences are spoken without a pause

Abuse

1. Short bouts of emotionally charged speaking ie. shouting or screaming

2. Singing especially high pitched notes or too many songs in one sitting

3. Attempted projection of voice especially in a large room in an attempt to make oneself heard
